FROM A HUMAN PERSPECTIVE

You Should Be Using Hootsuite to Manage Twitter

If you’re already using Twitter to promote your business, you may have heard about Hootsuite, the well-known social media manager.

What is Hootsuite?

Twitter can be a great networking site, there’s no doubt about it. But sometimes managing your tweets via the Twitter interface can be daunting. This is due to the constant attention you need to devote to the platform. That’s where Hootsuite comes in. You can use Hootsuite to schedule, curate, monitor and track your efforts.

Scheduling – This is the biggest benefit of using Hootsuite, but everyone knows that promoting your business via Twitter is an activity made for a superhuman with insomnia. The level of commitment it requires is sometimes overwhelming, not to mention unproductive. Scheduling your posts eliminates the need for you to periodically jump on the social platform and take time away from the multitude of other tasks you have on your plate. You can also post across other social channels, such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.

Curating Content – Hootsuite is a great resource for finding content that works with your messaging. Within Hootsuite, you’ll be able to search relevant streams by hashtag, location, or keyword. Of course, nothing replaces good old-fashioned original content, but sometimes a jumpstart like curated content can work wonders when resources are limited.

Monitoring – If you’re interested in what others are talking about (and you should be), the monitoring capabilities within Hootsuite are fantastic. You’ll be able to find and filter social conversations by keyword, hashtag, and location. This not only works for listening what people are saying about your brand, but also keeping an eye on your competitors and your industry as a whole.

Tracking – As with all things, showing some tangible benefits of your social media efforts is important. You can get snapshots of your Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter activities via Hootsuite. This helps you track overall trends and measure growth. With some extra effort, you can also build customized reports and get deeper insights by integrating third-party analytics and apps to your account.

By the third quarter of 2016, Twitter had 317 million monthly active users. As of the third quarter of 2017, the microblogging service averaged 330 million monthly active users. Many business professionals, just like you, are capitalizing on the growth of the social network and using it to promote their products and services. If like them, you need as much help as possible – Hootsuite might be the answer you’re looking for.

Are you using Hootsuite to more effectively manage Twitter for your business? What have you learned that might help others? Leave it in the comments…
