Boston Dynamics Raises the Woof with SpotMini

Boston Dynamics, a company that was formerly owned by Google’s parent company Alphabet, has released a new video of their doggy-like robots doing what once seemed like science fiction. The aptly named SpotMini is a smaller and more refined version of its predecessors, Spot and BigDog, Boston Dynamic’s original four-legged robots.

Regardless of what people say about how terrified these robots make them feel, Boston Dynamics teaser videos rake in a ton of viewers. In the first 24 hours alone, their most recent video of the SpotMini amassed over 2 million views on YouTube with over 100 thousand likes. That’s a lot of positive impressions and eyes on the brand, who is now owned by a Japanese conglomerate called SoftBank.

The question is, what do you think of the SpotMini? Does it leave you with a positive or negative impression of the Boston Dynamics brand?
