Capri Sun Campaign Promotes Anti-Bullying

One might argue whether Capri Sun’s customers are children or their parents, but the brand’s most recent ad concentrates on a problem that both audiences can appreciate—bullying.

Let’s forget for a moment that between 1 in 4 and 1 in 3 U.S. students say they have been bullied at school and almost a quarter of middle school students are bullied in some way while eating lunch. The simple fact is that almost everyone has experience with bullying at some point in their life. Whether you’re an adult that was bullied, know a friend or child who was bullied, or were the bully yourself—our society is at a point where we should try to overcome the basic human problems—and it starts with awareness, education and action.

Capri Sun’s new ad delivers one solution towards the goal of eliminating bullying and they call it the “Together Table — the first lunchroom table where everyone is included.” According to the juice drink brand, “no one likes sitting alone and Capri Sun believes no one should ever have to.”

Of course, the ambitious mission of eradicating bullying and cyberbullying among young people can’t be done alone. Capri Sun is collaborating with the nonprofit No Bully who is creating campaigns across countries and sectors, aiming to change youth norms and make bullying uncool and unacceptable.

Not only does that sound like a plan to make the world a better place, but it also speaks directly to Capri Sun’s customers. That’s a win-win from where we’re standing… or should we say sitting?
