Cracker Jack Celebrates Progress with the New “Cracker Jill”
Ever since 1908 when Jack Norworth sang about “peanuts and cracker jacks” the snack has been synonymous with sports. Baseball games would not be complete without workers walking through the stands offering Cracker Jacks to fans. A lot has changed since 1908 though, and the snack brand decided to reflect this progress in their own product line. Meet Cracker Jill, the newest face of baseball snacks.
This new edition of Cracker Jack is here to represent how sports have evolved since the early days of the brand. It not only celebrates women in sports, but seeks to promote it through donations to the Women’s Sports Foundation. Along with the initial release of Cracker Jill, the brand donated $200,000 to WSF, and offers a free bag of the new snack to anyone who donates $5 or more to the foundation. Cracker Jack looks to reinvent the classic identity of baseball, including an updated version of the iconic song. Will this reinvention bring you out to the ballgame?
