Dave Bautista Reminds Us to Appreciate the Simple Things

Heads turned when Disney shared a mysterious new Twitter account called “The Streamer”. People congregated to the account and waited through a 3-hour live stream as the account teased a secret reveal. They were shocked when greeted by an old Dave Bautista floating down a (literal) stream, watching his favorite shows through the Disney Bundle. The initial confusion and shock of the reveal quickly wore off and audiences learned to love this simple man and his simple pleasures. Sometimes all you need in life is a boat, a bundle of Disney services and an endless supply of streaming puns. The campaign is a lighthearted way to connect with audiences and it cleverly utilizes the endlessly charismatic Bautista. The Streamer has inspired us to appreciate the simple things, like the cushions on our binging couch.
