Etsy Holiday Ad Campaign Goes for the Feels

After a completely ridiculous and stressful year of feeling disconnected, people are looking for ways to bond with those they love. Etsy has attempted to deliver these feelings in a new holiday ad campaign called “Gift Like You Mean It” that gets to the heart of what it’s like to be human, along with some of the emotions we all experience. They also showcase what makes Etsy unique in the e-commerce world—hyper personalized (and thoughtful) gifts. Josh Silverman, Etsy’s chief executive admitted “Consumer shopping habits have been greatly influenced by the events of 2020, and Etsy truly stands for something different.” Our favorite of the series — a boy who creates a stuffed doll out of a drawing he made for his grandparents.
