Popeyes Makes “Piece” With Its Chicken Rivals

In 2019, Popeyes launched its very own chicken sandwich and sparked the legendary Chicken War. During those two years of conflict, brother fought against brother, sister against sister, father against father, mother against mother—you get the idea. It seemed that the chaos would last forever. Then the very same company that started the Chicken War has ended it with the release of their new 8-piece nugget meal. The tagline “We Come in Piece” is an attempt by Popeyes to quell the tensions by making a generous donation to Second Harvest Food Bank. Not only are they donating nuggets from Popeyesbut they’re also including nuggets from their competitors. This new campaign strikes a different chord from the aggressive and combative strategies taken during the war. Perhaps now, all nuggets can exist in “piece” and harmony.
