Pumpkin Spice Season is Here – Thanks Starbucks!

If you’re looking for a caffeine BUZZ, then you should try Starbucks pumpkin spice latte. It’s filled with a little bit of coffee and a lot of sugary goodness.

But this isn’t news, or buzz. In fact, the pumpkin spice phenomenon has been growing, or should we say brewing, for years. Since 2003 when it was introduced by Starbucks alongside other seasonal flavors, it exploded into a full fledged contagion that has infected every corner of the food industry.

To say that pumpkin spice flavoring has become a craze is a bit of an understatement. You can get Oreos, Cereal, Marinades, Donuts, Triscuits, Twinkies, just to name a few. And pretty much every news outlet has covered the spicy sensation in some way.

What’s crazier – the season for pumpkin spice starts earlier and earlier every year. Pumpkin spice has become to the food industry what Black Friday, or Halloween, or Christmas is to the retail industry.

The question is, will it last? We can’t say for sure. But we can recommend you get your fix before it’s too late. And remember to thank Starbucks for the craze that is pumpkin spice.
