New Study Reveals the 10 Most Memorable Brand Slogans

A strong slogan is like a great pop tune. It gets stuck in your head and ends up rattling around in there for decades. But while you may remember the slogan, sometimes the brand behind it will slip your mind. For example, the slogan “Betcha can’t eat just one” may ring a bell—but can you name the brand that coined it?*

As reported on in USA Today, a recent study aimed to see how many people could identify the brands behind a handful of famous slogans. The study from the market research company Survata asked over 3,000 Americans if they could remember the brand names associated with more than 75 famous marketing slogans.

Based on their responses, these were the top 10 most recognized slogans:

1. “Finger lickin’ good”, KFC (87.9%)
2. “Every kiss begins with ___ “, Kay Jewelers (87.4%)
3. “15 minutes could save you 15% or more”, Geico  (82.3%)
4. “Just do it”, Nike (82.3%)
5. “Snap, Crackle, Pop”, Rice Krispies (79.5%)
6. “You’re in good hands”, Allstate (78.2%)
7. “Taste the rainbow”, Skittles (75.1%)
8. “Melts in your mouth, not in your hands”, M&Ms (73.2%)
9. “Maybe she’s born with it. Maybe it’s ____ “, Maybelline (69.3%)
10. “I’m lovin’ it”, McDonald’s (68.9%)
