MOMA: MOVIES & MARKETING PODCAST SERIES

Tastiest [Movie] Turkeys

In a world where movies rely on marketing more than ever to connect with audiences, one podcast aims to make sense of it all…

What’s in this episode?

We celebrate the month of November by serving up some delicious box-office bombs.

On today’s episode we’re talking about turkeys, which is another name for box office failures. Why? Because:

  • The month of November is home to Thanksgiving, and Thanksgiving is commonly associated with turkey (sorry, our brains are pretty limited)
  • Way back in the year of our lord 2020 we had an episode called “Toughest Turkeys” where we talked about some of the biggest box office disappointments of all time
  • We thought we’d return to the well — but this time to serve up some tasty turkeys (box office bombs we love)
