Google is Home Alone Again

Google has officially secured a place in the universe’s all-time brand winners circle. And that’s before they put together a recreation of the Home Alone movie with the now-adult actor who played Kevin McCallister, Macaulay Culkin.

Sure, the globally known verb-for-searching-the-internet could stop now and forever be in our hearts as the brand who created the perfect commercial. But they probably won’t. They’ll likely still continue to rule as the most-used search engine and provide new and innovative ways for humans to find the world’s compendium of information.

And even if you don’t agree with those non-arguable statements, you’ll probably still appreciate the latest ad spot for Google Assistant with the beloved Kevin McCallister. Sure, he needs a little help adding aftershave to his shopping list, setting reminders, and fending off what appears to be the wet bandits. But darn it, that’s okay because he’s doing it hands-free!

So if you want to sit at home alone tonight and veg out in front of the television watching an American Christmas classic like Home Alone, start with this ad spot. It will definitely get you all nostalgic for the almost 30-year-old movie.
