The color Purple has long been associated with wealth and royalty. That’s one of the reasons the Pearce brothers decided to name their revolutionary mattress company after the long sought-after color. Their goal was to treat everyone like royalty by providing a superior mattress at a fraction of the cost of similar offerings.

If you’ve been on YouTube in the last few years, chances are you’ve come across ads for the Purple Bed brand. It’s been known for its use of comedy (and what some may call silliness) to create a series of ads that people want to share with their friends. These viral ads include a spot with a family of Sasquatches and another featuring Goldilocks (the bed expert) giving a demonstration on why viewers should choose Purple for their next mattress. All of their ads, while humorous, also provide viewers with an understanding of how their bed “technology” works.

As the brand has grown in popularity, their marketing efforts have matured and ventured away from the ridiculous ads we came to know and love. While we don’t have anything in particular against the new spots, we are looking forward to a day when we spot a Sasquatch or nursery rhyme character in their ads again.
