Kellogg’s Boxes Designed for the Blind Mark a New Chapter in Packaging
Sometimes reading through the info on packaging can be taxing, but it is especially difficult, if not impossible, for those who are visually impaired. Kellogg’s saw a need and took action to make their packaging more accessible by printing a code on their boxes that will play a recording of the product info from any phone that scans it.
The change not only creates a much-needed convenience for the visually impaired, but signals to other brands that this is a viable option. The campaign also has the potential to spark change in the industry, demonstrating how to cater to people with disabilities. We look forward to seeing how this effort impacts other brands and the visually impaired community.
