Black Widow Kills at the Box Office

We’re all aware that movie theaters had a hell of a time during the pandemic. That’s why the news that Black Widow raked in an estimated $80 million in the U.S., $60 million via Disney+ and $78 million internationally is music to the ears of movie studios everywhere. Sure—it’s Marvel and Disney. The argument could be made that it was inevitable for this movie to do well, but until it actually happened, there was suspense running through Hollywood.

 

We could be witnessing the return of big budget summer movies and a light at the end of the tunnel for theater owners everywhere.
