Public Service Announcements provide a very important, shall we say, public service? And since we have a whole podcast episode devoted to outbreak and contagion movies, it seemed like a good time to talk about the recent PSAs that actors from the actual 2011 virus thriller movie Contagion unleashed upon the world.

According to Columbia’s Mailman School of Public Health, “there is more need than ever for information about scientific, evidence-based precautions that we can all take to better protect ourselves, our loved ones, and our communities.” True. So if you’re fans of Matt Damon, Laurence Fishburne, Kate Winslet, Marion Cotillard or Jennifer Ehle, definitely share these PSAs and help #ControltheContagion. Sure, this is a set of serious announcements that are meant to be informational and ultimately keep people safe—but that doesn’t mean we can’t be entertained by some Hollywood celebrities in the process.
