Amazon’s New Holiday Ad is All Smiles

Amazon is looking to take over the world—that’s not news. But the interesting advertising it deploys on the road to world domination is fun to watch and sometimes gets our attention.

That goes for their holiday ad that once again uses their iconic “smiling” boxes as the focal point. According to their YouTube channel, “The Amazon boxes are back in full voice, singing out loud for those feeling the festive spirit.”

This time, ordinary humans in the ad experience their Amazon boxes singing the Jackson 5’s “Can you feel it,” while appearing to be unfazed by the arguably terrifying idea that their boxes are, in-fact, singing.

We’ll admit, the boxes are cute and don’t come across as menacing whatsoever. That said – we couldn’t help but imagine how we would really feel about our Amazon shipments singing uncontrollably. It also made us consider the lack of care we give to those sweet little singing boxes as we rip them apart and throw them into our recycling bins.
