Coors Light Offers the Treatment for March Madness: The Chillollipop
Watching basketball can get exciting. Watching March Madness can get intense. Fans are known to get heavily invested in the college basketball tournament and this can often lead to rowdy crowds in sports bars, causing a massive ruckus. It’s called March Madness, after all, and bartenders simply brace themselves for it. Coors Light asked if there could be another way.
Meet the Chillollipop, a beer flavored lollipop designed to calm even the most wild basketball fans. The thought experiment was that lollipops recall calming memories of the past, and demand enough focus to reduce anger. Coors Light put their Chillollipop to the test by taking them to bars across New York City to help fans relax. March Madness is known to lead to an uptick in beer sales, which makes it the perfect time for a brand like Coors Light to try something new. Now sports fans have an option to finally calm down their friends who have an affinity for losing their minds during the game.
