Good Catch Teases Subway with their Tuna-Free Tuna Sandwich
Creative teasing between brands is a long-celebrated tradition of marketing, and one that the plant-based brand Good Catch respects wholeheartedly. Drama stirred for Subway recently, when the authenticity of their tuna sandwiches was thrown into question. With impressive speed, Good Catch drove several food trucks with eerily familiar logos and parked them outsideSubway locations and offered their own tuna sandwiches. Shortly thereafter, Subway submitted a cease-and-desist to Good Catch, which they promptly posted on their social media for the world to see. In a true act of bravery, they responded to the stern communication with an offer to provide Subway their own plant-based tuna substitutes. We hope they take Good Catch up on that offer, because that food truck promo pretty great.
