Google’s Quantum Leap Forward Expected by 2029
Google’s new campus in Santa Barbara, California is dedicated to developing a commercial grade quantum computer. What is quantum computing? It’s not just physics, time travel, or that TV show from the 80’s with Scott Bakula. Quantum computing creates advantages such as more processing power, improved accuracy, and the ability to run complex computations at lighting speed. This technology will allow us to simulate natural phenomena more accurately, which may aid in the creation of better solutions to the world’s most challenging problems.
Quantum computing is also expected to lead development in many different industries, including healthcare—IBM is installing a quantum computer at the Cleveland clinic this year. The next time we are faced with a pandemic or global crisis, it may just be Google’s quantum computer which speeds up a solution.
