Hornbach Gets Gross With Sweat Glands

Hornbach, a German home improvement store chain, has created an ad that can only be called a sweaty mess — and they have done this intentionally. The company, which has been known for their crazy ad campaigns, has pushed the gross factor to the next level with this commercial that focuses on an inside look at the production of the moisture that pours from our pores.

It all begins with a close-up of an enraged man screaming into a phone, and then things get OMG weird. Total chaos ensues as cowboys in rubber suits run around and begin tossing alarm clocks, cell phones, televisions, and a punk rocker with a piercing high-pitched voice down into pipes that submerge them all in a mysterious liquid, which eventually dumps into a wiggling pit that leads out into…

…a shot of a single drop of sweat that rolls off the brow of a man who is working hard in his garden.

I’m not sure if this really makes me want to go out and buy supplies to fix my house, but it definitely grabbed my attention.
