Marvel Promotes ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ with Group Counseling at Comic-Con
One-half of half of the universe probably saw Avengers: Infinity War over the summer and the results stunned many moviegoers and left even the least devout superhero fans with an incomprehensible sense of loss.
So what’s the next move for Marvel Studios? To create a group counseling session at the biggest Comic-Con of the year. That’s right, Marvel set up shop at San Diego’s Comic-Con with a booth/installation “offering help for fans who were “traumatized” by the tragic end of Avengers: Infinity War, and emotional support for those “devastated” by the loss of (half of) their favorite superheroes.”
The whole thing promotes the upcoming release of the movie on Blu-ray and digital at the end of the month. This is pretty clever marketing—even if it is exploiting the sensitive souls of those left behind from the universe’s most heartbreaking event EVER!
