If you were a child of the 1980s, you may remember the board game Fireball Island. Through commercials like this one and its super big game box, Fireball Island seemed larger than life. For kids of a certain age (say 7-10), it was a game that the advertising really sold you on (even if the final product didn’t quite live up to the fireballing hype).

Decades removed from its heyday, one adventurous company is making a return to Fireball Island. The reboot comes courtesy of the creative minds at Restoration Games, a brand that brings back and modernizes great games from the 70s, 80s and 90s. Restoration has already completed a Kickstarter to bring back an enhanced version of Fireball Island (called Fireball Island: The Curse of Vul-Kar) and the game will be available for purchase this fall.
