Selling Out of Ad Space During the Pandemic
You may have heard—CBS sold out of its highly coveted ad space for Super Bowl LV. On average, 30-seconds of ad space during the Super Bowl cost companies approximately $5.5 million. Normally, it’s a great time for companies to get really creative as they try to stand out amongst all of the ads looking to garner attention from viewers. This year is a little different since the world is still spinning from the pandemic and brands that have become a staple of the big game, like Budweiser, opted out of advertising. Even though the ad line-up will be different than what we are used to, the hype and excitement hasn’t ceased.
