The Power of AI-Upscaling Channeled Through the 90’s
New televisions are always seeking ways to improve their visuals, though there is always the matter that nothing can look better than how it was originally shot… right? How could something shot on a camera in the 90’s look better than it did when it was originally captured? Samsung scoffs at that lack of imagination, and shows off the AI-Upscaling in their latest TV’s with a parody of 90’s sitcoms.
The throwback sitcom intro is designed to harken back to an era that is currently undergoing a resurgence in nostalgia, and demonstrates how even older programs can be made to look brand new with this innovative feature. This calls to mind in the viewer any of their favorite movies or shows from before the turn of the century that could be seen through new eyes. We begin thinking of the classic monster movies of old, but what program would you want to see in 4-8k for the first time?
