Toys R Us Returns to Life through Macy’s Partnership

Adults and children alike cried when Toys R Us went bankrupt in 2017. The classic toy store existed in limbo for years as ownership changed hands and revival attempts failed. America was almost ready to finally lay Geoffrey the Giraffe to rest, but salvation revealed itself and its name was Macy’s.

The department store plans to host Toys R Us sections in over 400 locations across the United States in early 2022. Between the pandemic and the explosion of ecommerce, partnerships like this have become necessary for survival in the retail market. The future may be uncertain, but it is important to live in the present. For now we will simply appreciate the return of an old friend who turns our frowns upside down.
