What’s in store for the next Deadpool movie
We’ve written a few articles over the years about Deadpool and the marketing genius behind the movies. In fact, we even gave the franchise one of our top picks for the “Most Awesome Marketing Efforts & Trends of 2016” awards. We’ll admit, that doesn’t mean much. But it does show how good the marketing is for what was once a fairly unknown comic book character (see Iron Man). We were also big fans of the in-store marketing for Deadpool 2 (see featured article image), where the franchise took over shelves and rebranded other movies with the character’s likeness.
We’re not going to lie this late in the BUZZ article. If you’re looking for insider knowledge or a first glimpse of the third installment of the Deadpool movie franchise, now owned by Disney, we don’t have it (we’ll admit that the title is a little click bait-y). But we’re also not going to leave you empty handed. There’s an interview with Ryan Reynolds that The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon produced during the quarantine, and it has some interesting teaser info. While nothing definitive was announced, Reynolds hints at the future of Deadpool and the possibilities of it either continuing on as a standalone series or the possibility that the character could be included in the MCU.
