Apple Encourages Users to Bite into Their Passions
Ah, Valentine’s Day. The time of flowers, chocolates, and promises you don’t intend to keep. But if your new year’s resolution includes more flowers, chocolates, and showing you care, why not sink your teeth into Apple?
At the end of January, Apple launched its 2019 Valentine’s Day campaign—showcasing products using the slogan “for all their other loves”. Spreading the promotion via email, the tech titan advertised its products as “gifts to capture… passions and inspire creativity”. The emails showed off Apple’s iPhone XR, with its studio-quality photo capabilities and 4K video. It also took the opportunity to remind customers of the limited-time iPhone trade-in deal (customers can purchase an iPhone XR or XS when they sell their current device back to Apple).
However, it’s not all phone-centric. If audio is your lover’s passion, Apple is promoting its HomePod, a speaker purported to adapt to its location and deliver high-fidelity audio wherever it’s playing. Finally, if your partner’s new year’s resolution is fitness, Apple is advertising its Apple Watch—with all-day activity tracking and advanced running features (burn those calories to enjoy Krispy Kreme).
Showing you care is no easy feat during Valentine’s. It may require more than a high-priced meal and bottle of wine at a swanky restaurant. If that’s the case, Apple is telling customers that a taste of their inventory can reignite the passion.
