Buffalo Wild Wings Mediates Marriage and Fandom
Football is back and to prevent any strife, Buffalo Wild Wings is offering a Football Prenup, which allows fans to jot down a season-long game plan so football and relationships can co-exist.
Football equals mancaves and marital strain, which are enemies of the sport. To right those wrongs, BDubs hiked the ball to the Martin Agency to draw up a campaign that encouraged fans to watch the game (at BDubs), but not at the cost of relationships. Thus, FootballPrenup.com where couples can fill out an agreement that has one party lists his or her favorite team and the games he or she wants to watch, and, in return, their partner lists what they want in exchange.
“I think we’ve all been there—when we’re forced to either miss a big game, or gotten in trouble for ‘sneak watching’ on our phone because of a wedding or just busy work around the house. We wanted to have some fun with this idea and create a program that helps fans maintain their fandom AND keep the peace at home. What better way to do that than with a Football Prenup?” said Seth Freeman, CMO of Buffalo Wild Wings. To referee the agreement, BDubs had rules analyst Mike Pereira coach fans how to set up the contract and avoid any penalties.
The work is part of Buffalo Wild Wings initiative that sports are better with friends and to advertise the company’s Game Day perks. The call on the field: Get to BDubs; watch the game in marital bliss! As they say, can’t high-five when you’re alone!
