John Lewis Melts Our Hearts With Their Christmas Adverts

John Lewis has some of the best holiday commercials. They’ve been telling enchanting Christmas stories since 2007, and the advert for 2019 is no different. It features Excitable Edgar, a young dragon who loves the holiday season. As you can imagine, snow and pine needles don’t mix well with a fire-breathing dragon. Edgar burns down the town’s decorations with one excited breath. I won’t give away the ending, but the town comes to accept and love Edgar’s fiery gifts.

I highly recommend watching all the John Lewis holiday commercials. People look forward to watching these captivating ads every year –It’s like waiting for the Budweiser ads during the Super Bowl. Maybe this is a bit of a cheat, but I couldn’t pick just one of them to be my favorite. All of them put me in the holiday spirit no matter how grinchy I might be that day.
