Leonardo DiCaprio bests a bear to snag his first Oscar
It’s February and post Super Bowl, so you know what that means: Oscar, Oscar! A slew of films are up to take home awards this year and one has a nominee and previous winner—namely Leonardo DiCaprio. For years he was Jack fromTitanic, but over his career he molded himself into one of his generation’s finest actors. For years he went without winning an Oscar, but that changed in February 2016 when he took home Best Actor for Alejandro G. Iñárritu’s visually splendid The Revenant. It was a stirring moment as he received a standing ovation and delivered an iconic speech. Chances are he won’t win this year (though he probably should) with the odds favoring another long overdue actor in Joaquin Phoenix. That’s okay Leo fans, you’ll always have 2016!
