This Brand is Leaving Recycled Footprints
Water bottles have formed trash islands in the oceans and continue to be a problem for the environment.
Leave it to a bag and shoe company to kick the problem. Rothy’s is a company that designs and manufactures hip, eco-friendly fashion for women and kids from recycled water bottles. The company states it has repurposed 53 million+ plastic water bottles in their recycled products. What’s more—the brand reminds customers that when they purchase from Rothy’s, they’re also contributing to a company that packages, ships and employs responsibly. That’s a completely consistent brand message from beginning to end, and back to the beginning again.
Earth Day Turns 50!
This is part of our Earth Day coverage. Just in case this is your first time to our planet, Earth Day is an annual event celebrated around the world to demonstrate support for environmental protection. On April 22, 1970, 20 million people rallied and protested for Mother Earth on the first Earth Day. The grass roots observance has ballooned over the years and now includes events coordinated globally by the Earth Day Network in more than 193 countries. We hope the brands and efforts we cover on Speaking Human not only provide hopeful signs of sustainability, but also showcase "best practices" for businesses and marketing professionals of the future.
