Meet the First Completely Virtual Beer, Heineken Silver

The metaverse is the newest tool for marketers to connect with their audience. It can give fans an opportunity to find countless new experiences. They can go to concerts, buy homes and meet celebrities. But enjoy a refreshing beverage? That’s something that’s hard to do in the metaverse—unless you’re Heineken.

The beer maker announced a groundbreaking new beer that has “no calories, no hidden ingredients, and no beer”. The brand’s Heineken Silver is a virtual beer that shines a satirical light on the fact that not all products can be enjoyed in the metaverse, at least, in the traditional sense. The Heineken Silver experience does include a virtual brewery where people can learn about the process of creating real beer, which probably tastes much better (or tastes like anything, really).
